(2010): The Contextual Endorsement of Sexblind Versus Sexaware Ideologies. In: Social Psychology 41 (3), S. 186-191. DOI: 10.1027/1864-9335/a000026
Abstract: Examines the extent to which individuals endorse "sexblind" vs "sexaware" ideologies. Analogous to colorblind and multicultural ideologies, sexblindness involves ignoring sex categorization when perceiving others, and sexawareness involves recognizing and celebrating sex differences. A total of 157 women and 54 men completed measures assessing sexblindness vs sexawareness, their work and social context, their motivation to respond with sexism, and sexism. Results revealed that participants endorsed sexblindness more (and, thus, sexawareness less) in work than in social contexts. Further, sexblindness was correlated with an internal motivation to respond without sexism, suggesting people perceive sexblindness as a way to reduce sexism. Consistent with this view, the more participants endorsed sexblindness in social settings, the less benevolent sexism they harbored. In conclusion, the implications of sexaware and sexblind ideologies and the difference between these ideologies and colorblind and multicultural ideologies are discussed. zitiert von 17

(2005): Assistance in human–machine interaction: a conceptual framework and a proposal for a taxonomy. In: Theoretical Issues in Ergonomics Science 6 (2), S. 129-155. DOI: 10.1080/1463922042000295669
DOI: https://doi.org/10.1080/1463922042000295669 Abstract: Many interactive systems offer assistance when users have difficulties in operating or using them. In spite of the overwhelming variety of assistance techniques available, it is often unclear what type of assistance is really needed and how special assistance functions should be designed. The first step towards theoretically solid design decisions is a conceptual framework and a comprehensive taxonomy of assistance. The present paper proposes to define assistance as access to machine functions and provides a taxonomy based mainly on action stages to be assisted. These stages are: (1) motivation, activation, and goal setting; (2) perception; (3) information integration, generating situation awareness; (4) decision-making, action selection; (5) action execution; and (6) processing feedback of action results. In analogy to social assistance, various types of technical assistance are assigned to the 6 action stages. Adjustment, initiative, presentation media, and input modality are also discussed as additional dimensions to classify assistance.

Peterson, Christopher (2004): Character strengths and virtues: A handbook and classification.. Kapitel: Fairness. pp. 391-412. Oxford, England: Oxford University Press, zuletzt geprüft am 08.03.2018
Abstract: In their book 'Character strengths and virtues: A handbook and classification,' Peterson and Seligman present a taxonomy of character strengths and virtues. This chapter specifically examines fairness. The chapter provides a consensual definition of fairness, and discusses its theoretical traditions; measures; correlates and consequences; development; enabling and inhibiting factors; gender, cross-national, and cross-cultural aspects; and deliberate interventions for cultivating fairness.
